My Two Year Old: Emma Jane

Guys, I have a two year old daughter. How did two years already fly by?! This girl who made me a mother for the first time, she is so special to me. Emma is definitely a mama's girl, and I would be lying if I said I didn't love it :)

Since I had just had Maya 3 days prior, we weren't sure what to do for Emma's birthday. Since I was surprisingly feeling well, we decided to just have immediate family over for dinner and cake. Wasn't ready for a big thing as I had a 3 day old infant! And, Kyle threw the party all by himself! He invited everyone, decided what to eat and cleaned the house and yard, and set up. Our parents helped with food, and everyone was so sweet and even brought gifts for the last minute shin dig. I knew Emma wouldn't remember and wouldn't care if we didn't have a party, but I knew I wanted to do something to make her feel special after it was just rocked with a new sister.

It turned out so nice, and the weather was perfect! Emma loved all her thoughtful gifts. It seems as though since Maya joined our family, Emma has just grown up so fast and is such a nice big sister.
